Re: Anyone up for the Coaster on the 24th??
So, I guess I was wrong- not sure where I got the "16%" idea from...... Medically speaking, I believe 16% is the minimum amount of Oxygen at surface on which a human can survive. D(B) Indefinitely and without acclimatization. There are people surviving just fine on less than that in Nepal...

Re: Anyone up for the Coaster on the 24th??
Normoxic would be .16-.21, correct? The range that humans can breathe at without succumbing to hypoxia, or 02 tox? D(B) It would be your own definition of "normal". If your breathing is accelerated using .16 and your fine with that, then it's normoxic. If you are looking for the medical d...

Re: Anyone up for the Coaster on the 24th??
Air dive it then. That's always fun. D(B) CCR air is only good to 130' then you have to go to NM-TM untill 170' then you have to go to HP-TM down to whatever you feel like doing. Hey Greg, What do you use for your normoxic tm down to 170? anything above 16% O2 is normoxic. The reason I ask, is with...

Lake Washington Shipyard Company
This site is now Carillon Point, once an active shipyard. The history of the yard is pretty interesting, with the Kalakala's birth being there, along with many other historical vessels. The site underwater is not the most interesting but fun nonetheless, and with some fascinating artifacts left behi...

Thanks!! The guy in the yellow fins I call JP Patches. He's my friend Paul, also the one who's a$$ I'm filming on the descent in the Sampson video. Actually, come to think of it, he's probably in a lot of my videos. We don't give him too much crap, he was a HUGE Land of the Lost fan when he w...

Homemade anchors for fun floats. A couple were just littered on the bottom-they let the chain go.Nwbrewer wrote:What was with the cinder blocks chained together? That looks really new.

Re: Old Sailboat in Lake Washington
Yeah REAL deep wreck dive. It was in 10-25 feet of water. I ran into it when I was getting done with a dive. I was surprised to see the engine still intact, I'd like to scrape some of the muck away and see if there is a brand name still on it. I want to measure it to get a sense of how big it is, it...

Once a really big sailing boat, probably scuttled after it was stripped and destroyed.

Re: Lake Cushman
There is a great forest right off shore at the resort (goes clear past 200) looks like aspens in the fog. We also ran across an old mine shaft that had been caved in, miners helmets etc. Vis starts to get REAL bad towards the winter when they start letting more water through the dam, stirring up the...

Re: Flooded mine in Washington
Generics, there's no way it was ever that big a facility. BTW Dan I have another (bigger+deeper) flooded mine in sight and also the possibilty of a flooded mining 'ghost town'. Still researching both, the approaches are substantially more challenging which is limiting my in person scoping capacity....
