Re: Keep it simple.
I use cave lines on mine too. But, I have seen a few divers that use "zipper string pullers", and they come in very handy attaching bolt snaps to spg's, backup lights, etc... I might buy a few and try them myself next time. Very easy to put on from what I've seen, and no hassle trying to t...

I assume the I-90 bridge is fresh water?? :smt064 I have also never dived in fresh water so weighting for me would be needing adjustments for sure. I will wait for others inputs and I was just wondering if anyone had already made plans. :stir: Time for your dive gear to get a fresh water dive rinse...

Re: Dare to Drift... Dec 11th Wed
You will be maintaining a depth between 40 to 50 fsw throughout the dive. Last time I dove it with the group, I used an HP 100, but using anything bigger than an HP 100 is STRONGLY advised.GearHead wrote:What depth is the first part of the dive, and why would we be getting into deco after only 50 min?

Re: How much weight?
I'm 5'6", 145 lbs., diving with stainless steel backplate, stainless steel STA, drysuit, 32 lb. wing - whether I use an HP 100 or an HP80, I just use 14 lbs. - anytime.
I even knocked out 2 pounds one time and dove with just 12 lbs, and buoyancy and trim was fine.

Re: For the shooters on the board
Not my cup of tea. Too heavy for slinging on my shoulder while hunting. I traded two heavy, very good rifles, for a single light rifle. Try slinging a heavy rifle with a backpack or hip pack all day long and hiking at least 10 miles and you know what I'm talking about. Also, it eliminates the fun of...

Re: Dry Gloves
I use the DC dry glove system and I love it. I have 2 sets, the second set I bought a long time ago from Ebay for a crazy cheap price. As what Jerry said, you can buy the lined gloves at Seattle Marine. As a matter of fact, I bought extra blue and black pairs about 6 months ago. The secret to easy d...

I will be there for the Edmonds dive @ 10:30am. I only have a HP 80 CF steel tank though... Do you think that'll be enough for me? If you have a low sac rate it should be fine. But I'd say that of the people I typically dive with only 5%-10% could do an 80 min dive at Edmonds with a HP80. They tend...

Re: Shops in the area that fill using a water bath
I believe one of the reasons water baths were used originally was in case a tank failed during filling. The water bath would absorb some of the energy of the explosion. -Chris While it sounds plausible, this definitely does not work. The water bath container ends up adding to the shrapnel flying ar...

This whole NWDC board could give you a million advices, but even so, it's still a CRAPSHOOT in marriage.
Best of luck to you, and may you grow old and gray with her. Enjoy your journey in life.

This is what I call, a classic, "read the fine print first before signing". If you don't like the fine print (i.e., where the captain plans to take the chartered boat) that day, then don't go. Sorry to hear that you have been taken to the same sites over and over again Jeremy. Well, I gues...
