My wife and I are incredibly lucky to have lots of family in the area with power, and that no trees hit the house. My neighbors to the north were not so lucky. Two houses behind mine with trees buried in them, and one house where they lost two vehicles, but no injuries, which is the really important...

Somehow I think I'd be draggin a boat behind me.... Those things seem to use a lot of juice. Any word on your power Sounder? Hear's what PSE says about me right now.... Woodinville area Restoration efforts are progressing throughout the Woodinville area, one of our hardest-hit communities. Crews hav...

Yeah, they had that one, and they also had one about the size of a softball that looked like it was probably a 100Watt HID. Very cool. Of course dragging the battery pack to give more the a 10 second burn would get tiring.

So am I the only one watching the power crews out at night fixing the transmission lines, and looking with envy at some of the lights those guys use? If only I could waterproof one......

I live out in the sticks of woodinville. Lost power around 8:45 last night.

I had to drive under a half dozen trees to get to the freeway this morning, and most roads in the area were at least partially blocked. I'm hoping to have power by monday. ](*,)

Thanks for the clarification Rob. On number 2, the angle and buddah were put back after the construction, because I dove them last spring. This sounds like more recent moving thenm around. It really would be too bad if the crabbing grounds was closed, but you really do have to wonder about the healt...

Diverdown, I don't think that is the efforts of the construction crew. I know when they rebuilt the NOAA dock they moved them for safety, but they shouldn't be moving around now. The Bhudda moving is one thing, but the angel is a memorial, and it's kind of sad that someone feels the need to move it ...

I believe they just rebuilt the dock just north of the entry point. The larger oil dock (where the crabbing area is) is going to be partially removed to create a new ferry terminal. http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/NR/rdonlyres/85D206E9-60C7-427B-B678-AAA835234817/0/MukilteoFall06_100906web.pdf Looking at th...

NAUI has RGBM Tables for, 0-2,000, 2,000-5,000 and 5,000-10,000 feet for air, EAN32 and EAN36. I read Weinke's Diving Above Sea level. Lot's of information, and a lot of formula's that require a good grasp of decompression theory to understand. (Which I don't yet have, but I'm working on it.) ](*,) ...

Hey Cera, I just noticed your post, thanks for the reply. I'll see what I can do about finding a copy of the Master diver text. I won't be able to make the HC trip unfortunately. I'm still diving tables for now, I was looking at picking up the NAUI RGBM Altitude tables for diving in the Cascades. I ...

Not sure but I think I saw some up at UWS in everett. Last time I was there they had some reg bags, but not sure if they were XS scuba or not.

I know NWSD carries XS scuba stuff (weight pockets and stuff) and can probably order it.

Amy, From what I saw on the Sherwood website it looks like the Insight is more of an AI, do everything computer than the Profile, which looks more like a competitor with Oceanic's Veo series computers. http://www.sherwoodscuba.com/wisdom.html Is there any data anywhere on the Mares? Will they be add...

Thanks Doug, I had seen those. But they seem really expensive for what you get. They don't seem to give you much more that an UWATEC, and thy're a lot more expensive. For what they want for one of those I could get close to a Cochran EMC-14, or a Veo180nx or something. The search continues... Jake

In need of a computer...

So I'm thinking that after 30 some odd dives, it's time to finally get myself a computer. I've looked around some, and I think what I really want is something fairly basic, I'd prefer something without a huge amount of bells and whistles that I won't use. If anybody can recommend a basic computer th...
