Re: Tank Storage.

there also seems some dispute on length of time to leave fully charged (air quality, versus corrosion).

Re: Tank Storage.

I've got an outside shed, but we keep the generator and rototiller in there as well. But I do have an inside place to store them, I'll just use that.

Re: Tank Storage.

what about environmental? (temperature, gas or oil fumes, etc)?

I can store in my temperature controlled machine shop, but they'll be exposed to some gas fumes, and oil fumes.

Maybe best just in the house somewhere?

Nope. I thought I was told it was the old power house. Its way too big for an old lodge that was burned down anyways. Whats there is pretty big.

Re: Old Lake Cushman Dam

doesnt show on google earth. Looking at history, there was no other dam, so it must have beenthe power house I was thinking of. I know its there, as I've seen it on clear days, and an old time resident of the area told me about it. But I suspect its too deep.

Re: Old Lake Cushman Dam

Now that I'm thinking about it, I cant recall it its the old dam, or the old power station they flooded over. But in either case, towards the north it is. Lemme see if google earth can spot it.

Re: Drysuit Warm Water Diving

I was just thinking about this as well, as my South Pacfic trip the water was about 77d, and to me just alittle cold with just shorts and a rash shirt. Not so bad when the air temp was mid to upper 80's. Most divers had shorties on, but when it cooled off abit in Rarotonga, those folks got kinda chi...

Re: Drysuit Warm Water Diving

I envisioned that if I travel to warmer waters, to just bring a shorty wetsuit with me. Cooler waters, my shell drysuit only, and colder waters the whole thing (shell and insulation).

Old Lake Cushman Dam

I have no idea the depth, but has anyone ever done it? (or is too deep?)

In case you dont know what I refer too, there was an original Lake Cushman Dam that's under the lake. You can see it from the air.

Re: Not even a wet duck yet.

While I appreciate the dont buy the best now, so has my local motorcycle dealers, car dealers, and other shops as well :) Too often I've compromised, and wind up with it, or close to it in the end anyways. Buying a better drysuit, regs, etc wont kill you like jumping first bike on a yammie R1,or big ...

Re: How many dive with a wetsuit in the PNW?

Dry Suit -- I am pretty impressed with the new(ish) Scubapro full neoprene Dry Suits -- $1000 for the Suit and Undergarment. It seems to me that you can get one, dive it for a couple of years and then be able to sell it for several hundred ($500?) and the money would be very well spent. IF that wor...

Re: 50 years ago today...

thank you for reminding me how old I am... Although I dont think that is quite accurate, as I would only have been 5 years old when the last episode aired, and I know I watched many episodes of it. Since I have but few memories of that young, I think it was on longer than that, in re-runs or somethi...

How many dive with a wetsuit in the PNW?

I'm trying to decide whether to get a wetsuit to get by for awhile, or not waste the money, and just into hock and get a dry suit. Its been so long since I dived (and there were no dry suits back then) I just dont remember what it was like in a wetsuit in frigid waters. Is a wetsuit really that bad ...

Re: Not even a wet duck yet.

thx everyone, sorry for the belated reply. I was fortunate to get hooked with a guy on another board, as he dropped by a bunch of stuff for me to try for awhile. Sadly he has a some service related issues forcing him out of diving (Agent Orange-heart issues), so we're working out a trade. (Zeagle ZX...

Not even a wet duck yet.

Hi Everyone. Was pointed to this board by a current member. Haven't been wet (until just recently) in over 30 years. Decided to get a bunch of snorkeling equipment for a Tahiti/Rarotonga trip we recently took (August). The first day in the water was odd, but by the end of trip I was right back at ho...
