Re: Dive sites near Cabo San Lucas?
Check out Gordo Banks if it's open. http://caboscubadive.com/cabo-dive-sites.html I enjoyed diving the North Wall of the arches. It drops down pretty quickly to a shelf at about 130, and then disappears in to darkness as it descends to 4000fsw (or so I've been told). They have sand falls out there a...

Looks pretty blurry underwater. Will they have a real dive housing sometime soon?

Looking at your message, the only advice you were looking for is if anyone knew of a way to do it.

Re: Transpac with ss backplate?
Jen, It would be far easier to sell the transpac, and pick up a Hog plate and rig. If you're not super concerned about loot and want the comfort, you can pick up a Dive Rite harness with padding, or even a Halcyon plate/pad set to stay comfortable. That said, depending on the year make, I don't thin...

It's humorous, but I'm not using it as sarcasm outside of "You could have looked this up", but more of a "This is how Cave Divers would figure out an answer to that question" link.

Re: B.C Fix
Well clearly.... Reduncancy is, however, for people who want to be taken seriously as a diver. Not everyone wants to be taken seriously in a sport they are doing for fun. I wish people would stop pussyfooting around this in an attempt to appear PC though. Show some backbone. Yes, to each is own is ...

Re: Regulator questions
You're right, I've bought quite a few, but I've bought them from people I know. An Apeks reg used by someone I don't know is getting serviced, and it can be costy.

Re: Regulator questions
Also, keep in mind that if you buy a reg from Craigslist, I assume you'd want to rebuild it anyways (As you don't know where it's been). Servicing the reg, and the cost you picked it up for, tends to usually equate to the purchase of a new reg.

Re: A place to tinker or create
The only problem I have is the cost. It's a great set up, though. It's pretty insane unless you are taking advantage of the shops every day. There's a shop on Capitol Hill that has something as well that is cheaper. They just don't have the BIG machines. http://metrixcreatespace.com They have 3D pri...

Sealed are nice for not getting salt in places, but it doesn't really matter, as far as I can tell. I like them, though.

No ROV to catch it on film, but I was cutting out an old Caisson at 110fsw with the best viz I've ever experienced in my life in the GOM..
