Re: HOG regulators
Wow - my "mark all read" trigger finger has been itchy lately. I'm glad I took a moment to stop and smell the... well, anyway. #-o Chris is a very stand-up guy who offers excellent customer service before, during, and after the sale. The HOG regulators are of excellent quality, and because...

Re: HOG regulators
I sold off all my regs and completely standardized around HOG - back gas, deco gas, argon, etc. They breathe great, are easily serviced, and (at least in my experience) are of fine quality.

Re: Bank bottles
I'm sure Fire King will paint up and hydro some up for you (they have a huge stash of used out of hydro ones). But they aren't going to be cheap. When I put my bank together I found a mish mash of cylinders from all over. 4 from my compressor guy and 3 for other sources. Getting an LP bank peiced t...

Wow, unbelievable Navy stuff, more bottom time than I have in years, and stories to share?! Are you related to Loanwolf?! :wolfie: Maybe.... I seem to be more of a bottom dweller. I have been to Whiskey creek (T-1's) and Parksville(T-2's), Nanaimo, B.C. I used to chase and catch torpedo's in the wa...

And yes, Koos, you do owe me a yummy coconut drink! Maybe a lava flow. Yum. :-) Since you've caused so much drama about this whole thing. :-) And cuz the PD called me at 7am! ugh. You mean you disturbed a "place of internment," recovered the remains, and called the police before meeting t...

Did you leave it in place and notify the police? It could be an indication of a crime scene.

I've got a pair that have spring straps on them, and I am thinking I may just sell them. I'm in the exact opposite position - my feet require XXL whether warm-water or cold. They're my wife's fins, but I'm sure when she's ready to get back in the water I'll be able to borrow a pair.

Re: Another week another gruesome find
As someone who does have a bit of background in law enforcement, I still disagree. The authorities are likely not going to pay any mind to the report and human cremains found underwater are not an indication of a crime, other than littering on DNR land. But, I'm ok with disagreeing - it's not person...

Re: Another week another gruesome find
Eh, finding bodies in the water would not be the first clue the police would get regarding someone doing something with poor intentions. I think it's a coincidence. People especially wouldn't TAG IT with any identifying marks/tags/codes/whatever if something was up. I think the weather is improving ...

So after so many people asked what the psi remaining was, you just let them vent the tank completely without measuring it?

Re: Another week another gruesome find
Well back from yet another week in Port Townsend. Lots of nudies as well as the other critters and an unpleasant surprise. During or Wed. dive I found a bag of remains like the one at cove 2 awhile back! Mid way through our dive I investigated a large plastic bag that was tied at the top with wire ...

I didn't realize it was the trip Josh Bernstein joined them for. He's a great outlet for ADM to get the word out and is a pretty neat guy.

Hey, anyone have an accurate SPG they aren't using and would like to off load. My 30 year old US Divers one finally failed and I need to replace it, but I'm REALLY short on cash these days. I just need something that works, it don't have to be the latest and greatest hotness (not like my last one w...

All this logic and physics is too much to hande. Seriously, there is nothing wrong with the tank people!! Betty Lou is using the Force to haunt the 1st spgs. It's all Koos' fault. The tank is fine.

Re: Strangest equipment failure ever!
I think we simply have a failure to communicate. My fault for not being specific regarding the use of "empty" regarding diving cylinders. When we say empty we mean any pressure below several hundred psi. So when I say a tank is empty I mean there is less than 500psi remaining because it's...

Re: Strangest equipment failure ever!
Your tank valve is being haunted by Betty Lou. She hated HP ports and never moved on past the J-valve. If you recorded the sound it makes when you crack the valve, tune the pitch lower and slow it down to 50% of real-time, you'd hear her dreadful warning... "Pfffffft!!" <shutter> Damn you ...
