Glad you liked the trippel. Almost got consecration but wasn't sure about choosing a Belgian style.

Re: Tanks tanks tanks!

Glad it worked out Steve. Spatman was the biggest help!

Steel 100 and both pony rigs still available. I will keep the thread open a while more.

Dusty

Thanks for the info. I am assuming that there is someplace else to go...sort of like Cove 2 fills up, but there is usually street parking somewhere.

Re: Club dive! Club dive! Club dive! SUNDAY February 19!

This looks like too much fun to pass up. I plan to be there, and finally meet some of you fine folks :). Somehow, I have not been to this site before! So, I will tag along with a buddy team, and promise to behave myself :). Do I need to bring cash/change for parking? See you Sunday, and I will bring...

Hey Larry

Thanks for the offer. I am strongly considering attending the club dive either way. I will let you know, and maybe we can carpool.

smcarlton Sorry for the delay. Yes the 80s are still available. They are yoke and I will check hydro tonight. Didn't realize the club dive Sunday, but I could definitely be convinced for that :). Redondo is still on my list to do. I'll get back tonight ASAP and I can snap some pictures too. Thanks f...

Re: question on frog kicking

Yes and yes, frog kicks are awesome. If you dive blade fins, you are doing yourself a disservice not learning this wonderful technique :). The most useful part of frog kicking to me, are the easy modifications that help your control underwater. Meaning, I can now "helicopter" or turn from ...

Tanks tanks tanks!

Hello everyone Haven't been around these parts for a while... Some good dive buddies of mine are lightening their dive gear garage pile. Slowly becoming "warm" water divers :(. I offered to post their tanks up here and see if anyone is interested in them. It is my understanding the hydro's...

Re: Underwater Proposal?

Yeah, a fake big one like Josh suggested sounds rad. Something that she could put on over her glove! And, I like the seashell idea...maybe a late heart cockle. And, I wouldn't worry too much about verbal communication, if you decide to go "fake" ring in the water you'll have plenty of time...

SPG hose length?

Matt

I am pretty sure mine is 24". I can double check tonight. I am 5'8" and dive a bp/w, but used it with my standard bcd before as well.

looking for 19 cf pony

I have one I never use anymore. Paint is chipping, DIN valve, and I have an aqualung DIN 1st stage with it. I'll try to take a picture later. I will have to check when hydro is. Also, it has the quick draw pony bracket.

I'm thinking $75 for the lot.

What cylinder do you dive, and why?

I love steel HP100s. As long as I dive in the Puget Sound I don't intend to ever use anything else. Larry (magoi) already mentioned a steel tank's better, imo, buoyancy characteristics when compared to aluminum. Less lead, not as much weight swing between empty and full. Aluminum can be had for very...

Bonaire, my first time!

Thanks and glad the pictures bring back good memories for everyone! La Dania was likely our favorite dive, definitely top three. Something fun about the setup (dropping gear and one person before driving truck to Karpata), jumping in, and knowing it's a one way ticket. We went a little deeper on tha...

Re: Bonaire, my first time!

Thanks. I know, Cozumel is so much fun! You can't really go wrong with either one. If you want pampered boat diving, Cozumel is definitely the place. However, the freedom to dive when you want is pretty amazing on Bonaire.

Bonaire, my first time!

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of traveling to Bonaire with a good buddy of mine. It was a new place for both of us, and I have to say, we loved the diving! I have frequented Cozumel over the last few years, and after constant rave reviews from you guys here on NWDiveClub decided I had to g...

Is this guy nuts?

As a rule of thumb, I never pay more than half of the retail price when buying used dive gear.

Used isn't necessarily bad or worse quality than new. Just be sure to inquire, as the fine folks on this board are super knowledgable. Helped me in lots of gear decisions...as I lurked around many posts :)

I am also very much interested in the video results. I concluded the same thing when I researched gopro hds and decided the snakeriver blurry fix was a step above.

Cool setup with the goodman!
