The scar from my carpal tunnel is also quite small - the latex seal (I wear it above that bone that protrudes in my wrist) never actually touched the scar. I was back in the water in 6 weeks. No problems so far!

Great fun report! Makes me wish I had one of them little dart around thingies......but I shall just have to dive the San Juans this week without one. Sigh..... but I agree diving is soul food. Dive! Dive! Dive!

It was great viz with tons of critters, so who was I to let a biggish hole in my wrist seal interfere? After 35 minutes I did write Valerie an apology note on my slate that said "So sorry, but I need to get out". All in all it was worth the totally soaked undergarments and suit...incredibl...

Jan - the blue heron shots are, as usual, amazing. They not only live on Whidbey Island, but I spied one hunting at low tide about 20 yards from my boat in Tacoma. If I only had a camera.... (and thanks again for the ride from the ferry on Sunday!).

Great shots of the nudis! It was hard to stay on the boat and watch all you dive...we dropped you on the east side of the rock. I have never dove that site, so I have no clue where folks went. And the orcas at Davidson were awesome!!! :smt038
