Re: WSA has installed the Mooring Bouy on Possession Ferry
They will hold a charter boat. They are galvanized. I have seen them up close. They are really nice. There are plans for installing more of them, but, they aren't paid for, so, until they are paid for, they won't be putting more in. I think there is one more that has been paid for and I believe it i...

Would this have been at Mike's Beach resort? Doing a map search, it appears that is about the closest site to the address given in the article.

Re: Dive Charters
Hi everyone Yes we will have Aqua Therapy in Neah Bay this summer. Come see us at the Dive & Travel Expo. Aqua Therapy will be on the floor for all to see and of course board and introduce ourselves. Is there a website or somewhere else we can also check it out. May 22 is a long ways away. When...

Re: White subjects making me crazy
I would suggest getting closer to the subject and letting your internal strobe do it's job. Set your focus on Macro and get as close to the subject as you can and still get clear focus. On the whiteline, you should be focusing on the rhinophores. Try to shoot up at the subject if you possibly can.

Re: Sechelt area dives (Sunshine Coast, BC)
I second the Stag Wall recommendation. There are places where the wall is actually inverted, meaning you look up and all you see over your head is wall. When we were there 2 Octobers ago, there were people white-water kayaking in the Skook during an exchange. I would also suggest doing a dive right ...

Re: Dive Shop near Redondo?
Depends on which way you are coming from.
I think they are both probably about the same distance from the dive site. If coming from the south, UWS. If coming from the north, TLSea. If coming from the east, ScubaSports might be closer.

Re: Shrimp with a "bubble" growth
There is an introduced bopyrid infecting blue mud shrimp (Upogebia pugettensis) on the west coast that has driven them to extinction in many of the coastal bays. Isn't that the shrimp that my favorite dive buddy Lowell is going to be working with you on for his Master Thesis? I just finished scanni...

I have heard that some use PhotoShop in order to get those really nice solid color backgrounds. Some admit to it, others don't.

How about "Cool" sponge? Is that better. I could look up the scientific name, but, that would require me to get up off the couch, walk over to the book case, find the sponge book, look it up, etc.
