I'm a relatively new diver. I have less than a dozen dives under my belt and I am looking at getting some more. I am down for diving all over Oregon and Washington, I just need some invites in advance (I'm one of those people that has to have something to do on a weekend, no "relaxing" don...

Being new to the whole diving sport, I was wondering if it was worth diving here in the Pacific Northwest or should I save my vacation and money for a nice, warm spot to dive in the winter? What does everyone else do during the long gray?

Update: My coworker had to cancel due to a family engagement he was unaware of (or trying to get out of? =]) so he had to cancel. I am still down for diving with people on this board. The dive can either be on the 24th or the 31st now. Let me know if anyone else is interested in picking up a new div...

A coworker and I are planning a dive along the Oregon coast on the 31st of July. Any suggestions on where to go? We know that viz will be pretty bad, but it's a chance to get into the water (which is hard for me to do... my entire summer was planned out by April and that's pretty standard for me).

I would love to but I am already planning on being in Central Oregon this weekend. Sorry.
