Re: What Strobe do I choose?
I don't know which strobe to buy( I have the UXDS-1), but I would have a good 10 dives under my belt with the new strobe before you go, so you know what it is like to use it. I know it was a whole nother world when you attach the arm and strobe. Take it on a couple of night dives, and try to take pi...

Re: Feet and Air Struggle at DUI Dog Rally & Demo Tour in Tacoma
okay, so you feel that? that's a properly lofted undergarment. now for the dive part, you let the gas out of your BCD and start your descent, putting gas in the drysuit to continue feeling that same warm but not squeezed feeling, but also not a big bubble of gas that will blob all around and cause ...

Re: It's my birthday and I ordered a G10!!
So what enclosure are you going with? What strobe? I just sent my G10 back under warranty; there was this freaky streaking in the pics with a really bright spot (see example...). I should be getting it back soon, and honestly, it was rare that the problem showed up. They have fixed the problem on th...

Re: Crabbing for noobs
Some of my -- friends showed me to put a couple inches of water in the bottom and then let the water boil up - if you put a lid on it then the scum boils up over everything and steams the crab - you don't have to boil as much water and they cooked fine - heavy boil for 15 minutes worked fine with wh...

Re: Anyone ever dive Lake Ki?
I don't know much about Lake Ki in particular, the Bathymetry looks good, http://www.co.snohomish.wa.us/documents/Departments/Public_Works/SurfaceWaterManagement/Ki_Outline.pdf I would try the east side of the 70' dip, where there is a bit of steep slope. The dive flag is absolutely necessary, but a...

Re: Freediving Cuda
I wonder how this seat/harness would compare to monkey diving, the seat sure seems streamlined. I think it would be cool to sling a bottle and try it out on scuba. Of course I haven't tried monkey diving out yet so I can't compare, Give us a report Laura!

I would like the current line to have more resolution when possible. Maybe a dynamic resolution depending on the current station. I know you wouldn't want the resolution changing day by day, but a bigger horizontal change would be better in my opinion. I'm not sure I'm following you. Can you descri...

Re: Raja Binoculata egg casings, wow they are big!!
How deep were you when you found them? I found a few earlier this year, in the 80 -100 fsw range. They were not hatched, and the young were not big enough to have a shape. I would love to get down there and see one with the embryo moving. There are pictures I took at this thread: http://www.nwdivecl...

I am so glad to hear about your dive, and it's many accomplishments. That sounds like it was vastly different than your first "100' " dive (which I happened to co-experience; oh the difficulties -sorry grateful diver ). You deserve accolades! :smt038
