Canon Vixia HF M500 with Canon Housing??
I have been playing with my GoPro for a few months now and have some decent shots. I was on the verge of getting a tray, lights, etc... However, what I have decided I really am interested in is macro video which the GoPro just doesn't do. I am looking to get into a system that will do work for macro...

Thanks guys. I left around 330 pm or so and drove back (FROM Everett when I had that sinking feeling ) and it was no longer there at 630 or so. I will call those places you mentioned Dusty.

Re: DIY thread
Thanks guys. That sounds good. I have a couple of those mag light clips left over from some other project.
My soft handle was velcro and was very tight to the hand. Which was cool for light control and pointing but it was a pain to take the light off etc...

Re: DIY thread
Dusty I like your Goodman Handle. I tried a soft goodman that my wife sewed me out of neoprene but decided I don't like how hard it is to change hands with the light. I got a universal light monkey hard goodman for 30$ at DRIS. My question has anyone figured out how to attach at Mag head to a hard g...

Re: Is a DPV Class Worth Taking?
I actually really appreciated the responses regarding DPV classes I got. Has anyone taken a DPV class and thought afterward it was unnecessary? I will probably take a class but I am so excited about my new scooter I want to keep blathering about it.

Re: Old Gear! Oh My! Need advice!
As a fellow diver who must justify dive purchases to the non-diving wife (and we have 2 young girls as well) I feel you. Here was my justification/argument. Once you blow a wad of cash you have committed to diving for awhile unless you just want to piss that money away. The re-sale value on scuba ge...

Is a DPV Class Worth Taking?
So I just bought a Sierra via the interwebs. It should be here in 3 or 4 days.
Anyone have an opinion about taking a DPV class?

Re: Garfield Bay, Lake Pend Oreille
Ha! I had a similar experience with the small mouth in Lake Whatcom when I was diving specifically for crayfish. By the end of my dive I had four smallies following me around looking for snacks. They would just hover right in front of my mask waiting for me to turn over logs. John, I love crayfish a...

Book Review "Darkness Below"
A link to the book here http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Darkness-Below-Rod-Macdonald/dp/1849950377/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_4 This was a book that popped up as a suggestion when I ordered Setting the Hook off Amazon several weeks ago. It looked interesting and I figured what the heck. I don't think the book is...

Re: Advice on a drysuit
I have a DUI CLX450 that I have been diving over a year. Have 50+ dives on it. It is a great suit, no problems durable still looks new, no leaks. Dries faster than my buddies CF200 but I won't knock that suit. His is 10+ years old and has hundreds of dives and is holding up well. I paid 2200 for a c...

Yeah, that is the one. Didn't see the soft weight. It should be resting comfortably on the hull....

Re: lost 3lb weight at Mukilteo T-dock
There was a florescent green coated weight down at the boat on Monday. I was going to bring it up but got tired of carrying it. I left it on top of the hull, I assume its is still there. Good excuse to mount a recovery expedition.

Up here in the north end I would second Adventures Down Under in Bellingham. Ron is a great guy AND the prices there are very reasonable. I paid less for my custom DUI suit than I could find a stock size on the internet. Fills are the cheapest in town.

Redondo 0-5 in the top 20 feet or so. 20-40 it was better but lots of freshwater haze. Opened up to a solid 15 feet or so under the hard thermocline. Hit Muk on the way home and it was similar but more stirred up by wave action in the top 15 feet.

Re: Dive north whidbey this weekend?
I can't dive this weekend but I live up in Bellingham and really the closest sites for me (except for boat dives) are all on Whidbey. Hit me up if you are diving, I usually go out on Thursday evenings.
I hand't heard about Langley, that's sucks, I really like that site the way it is.

Re: whew! Back to normal, if you remember me.
I am up in Bellingham and am always looking for north-enders. Langley isn't a terrible drive from the north end and is a great super easy site, never gets deep than about 30 feet. I usually dive on Thursday evenings after work if you are interested let me know. Driftwood is also sweet and pretty eas...

Re: Never seen this before underwater!
Someone placed an urn at Langley right up on the breakwater at 18ft. The urn was clearly placed there by a diver because it was upright and nestled in tight. This is worse than a non diver who dumps the ashes off a beach. The diver could have swum another 20 feet and tucked that urn in any of the on...
