Re: FREE - Carbon Fiber 4500psi tanks
Born in 2005 and I have used them only a handful of times up to 3500psi and I have NO idea on if they should be hydro'd or even what interval.. I'm hardly an authoritative source but my recollection is that this type of tank wasn't hydro'ed, they just had a defined life span, possibly ten years. I'...

I don't know what kind of pilings the refinery pier at Cherry Point has. I believe that that recent expansion plans may have been derailed by environmental concerns.YellowEye wrote: This article mentions a herring crash in the sound. Is Cherry Point near pilings?

I saw something similar with a really big lingcod coming to the surface from 180' to eat a kelp greenling when I was a kid in Alaska.

Marc Maron just reposted his Robin Williams interview to his WTF podcast feed. I don't remember hearing the interview but it isn't uncommon for Marc's interviews to go fairly deep into mental health and addiction issues.

So, I thought that the mommy octopus doesn't even eat during that period - think that's true of this species? How do you not eat for 53 months? Just heard an interview with the paper's author on CBC. He said that they offered her crab legs that she wouldn't take from their ROV. The paper is p...

Just don't mention any marina and water use by boat owners. The issue has actually come up recently . As other's have mentioned in the thread SPU is very confident in our protected watersheds and only chlorinates to the minimal allowable level. If aerated there shouldn't be any residual chlorine.

Re: #$@^%^!ing allergies
I've had seasonal allergies all of my life and have only found good strategies to manage them in recent years. Both Fritz and Tom have had very good suggestions. What has worked well for me has been to take a non-sedating antihistamine (I'm currently using Costco's Aller-Tec Active Ingredient, Cetir...

If you are looking to get them filled with gasses other than air when the VIP is completed that may make the choice more obvious, especially if one of those gasses is He.

This same thing has happened at Cove 1. The marker buoy has gone missing and not sure if there are any plans to replace it. Most of the boundary line and buoy maintenance at the coves has been a volunteer effort, officially coordinated with Seattle Parks, by the Marker Buoy Dive Club. Randy William...

taking tanks directly to Fire king will cost you around $20 per tank if you take 10 or more tanks and negotiate a deal with them. :notworthy: You were able to negotiate with Fire King? I tried that once and all got was a lousy Christmas card. I'll bet Koos, LLC is better at getting a deal than some...

If you want to see thousands head up to Pelican Beach (named after a sailboat not fauna) on Cypress Is. at night during the next full moon. They should be around munching on the millions of spawning candle-fish. It would be quite a night dive.

Re: Changes in abundance with the pycnopodia gone
There should be some literature out of the UW in the 60's and 70's about how the inter-tidal environment changes in the absence of sea stars. Bob Paine (cited as R.T Paine ) and several of my dad's fellow grad students had several study sites on Waadah Is. in Neah Bay that were monitored while they ...

Re: Epi-Pen in a Wetsuit?
I doubt that your Epi-Pen would handle repeated salt water immersion. You really need to inject an Epi-Pen into a large muscle which is why the thigh is a recommended site. The wrist is problematic because it has veins, arteries, nerves, and tendons all running near the surface. It shouldn't be that...

Apply a fabric (probably cordura or something similar) from the inside using the adhesive of your choice. E-6000 would work well.
I'm pretty close to Edmonds and open later than Seattle Fabrics, let me know if you need some scraps and I'll have some set out for you.
