Re: Drysuit pocket glue
Not all shell suit material is the same. The DC suits are some form or another of codura, which seems to take glue really well. April's DUI material was more slick, and more difficult to get the adhesive to stick. Hmm... You could try using PB 300 (the stuff for wrist and neck seals) instead of sea...

Re: Drysuit pocket glue
I've glued a pocket on my Diving Concepts Z-flex (Trilam) with seal cement and after 100 dives haven't had anything peel up. Here is the process I used..... Chalk out where you want to place the pocket on your thigh. It's best to do this with the suit on and someone helping you. Put a board on the l...

Re: Diving for Crabbing Advice
I went and got me a few crabs at Muk a few years ago. They were tasty little guys. But the dive scared the hell out of me- there were boats and crab pots all over the place, not to mention lots of divers in the water who probably hadn't been in the water since the year before....Let's just say that...

Re: Diving for Crabbing Advice
Here's some pointers.... The Mukilteo Oil dock is one of the best places for crabbing but it's a long swim/wade out. The little buggers are fast so it's best to work in buddy teams. When you spot a crab that looks legal signal your buddy and approach him on each side about 5 ft away. The crab move s...

Re: O'Neill 7mm j-type HELP
Hmmmmm... I might have to try that. I'm just scared I'll screw it up permanently. Just put your mask and hood on, have someone trace around the skirt with a greese pencil and cut away. If you want to mahe sure your cut is symetrical, fold the hood in half and cut both sides at one time. Neoprene cu...

Re: O'Neill 7mm j-type HELP
If it overlaps I would trim the hood. If you need to remove you're mask underwater it makes things alot easier and the small bit of neoprine that you cut off won't make much of a difference in keeping you warm.

Re: KVI tower
I've dove KVI a few times from shore (and a bunch of times from a boat). It's really not that bad of a walk if you're able to park in front of the gates. Maybe 100 yards over flat tide lands. The surface swim is a bit long but if you do it at low tide you can wade about 1/3 of the way down the sand ...

Re: June 5th and 6th - San Juan Island
I would suggest either Deadman Bay or County Park. County park has a easy entry to a shallow bay. It's not the most exciting dive but probably fits your criteria. Check in advance to make sure the park is open at night. http://www.theperfectdive.com/DEF-Site.asp?sID=198 Deadman Bay could have some s...

Yes, it was Saturday - Keystone - a mad place of boat trailers, boats, cars, pickups, fishermen, divers and tourists . Yesterday, on Sunday - not a single boat launched or trailer parked at Keystone. And I was the only diver in the morning. Go figure. And yes, they are supposed to stay out of that ...

I was certified in Okinawa when I was in the Marine Corps. The diving on Okinanwa is pretty good especially if you are a history buff.
Do a search on Scubaboard and you'll get tons of info.

I haven't moored my boat here but it looks nice... http://www.npa.ca/en/bobas1.htm All of the artifical reefs have public mooring bouys. Pretty much every resort on the island is a dive resort since thats the main reason people go to Coz. It really depends on what your looking for. We prefer to stay close to town because we like to try different restaurants and pubs. As far as dive ops go, my suggestion would be to stay away from the...
