Riding On Sharks?!?
I have no problem with diving WITH sharks... although there are issues with baiting, etc that I would rather avoid. Riding ON sharks? Seems more than a little nutty and not the greatest for the shark either... :axe: If you read on, the story below mentions riding ON great whites, not just swimming w...

What a tremendous seminar! :prayer: Bob, thanks for putting this together, good hospitality, good food, good company, great information! I know that we will be better divers because of it. I think the concepts in this seminar should be required for all Advanced Open Water classes! :book: If any of y...

Thanks Cap'n Ron, Diver Down, and all those who came on the trip! :prayer: Great boat, great people, great diving. Our last dive (Big Cone Island) in particular was amazing... so much life, and lots of dancing scallops! \:D/ I could dive there all day! :bounce: Of course, I could dive MANY places al...

Such great dives! \:D/ Anytime you have a young wolfie swimming around you and between your legs :pale: its a good dive! So nice to talk with Bob and Valerie and many others that were taking advantage of the minimal exchange and current. I actually saw a piece of kelp pointing straight up as opposed...

My Rescue class is later this month. I've been reading and studying for months now, even before the formal class. In many ways I'm looking forward to this... I want to be a better diver, and hopefully a better human being in the process as well. I want to be trained to be able to help should the occ...

Thanks for the link and all the hard work Calvin! Much appreciated =D> I downloaded the video (Thank God it didn't take 5 hours!), and it was great! By the way, can we post videos in the gallery in the same way in which we can post photos? I suppose I could just look and read, but that would involve...

Three Tree is a great site for a quick dive or two after work. It is not too current intensive, so you don't have to pay alot of attention to the tides, but I have seen low tides muck viz here. Walking down the beach before going in or doing surface swims to the buoys to the north will expand this s...

I think the video only is sometimes because the encounter happens so quickly that it's easy to get only portions of the shark as it goes by. I know the dog fish were mainly on a night dive, and VERY mobile... i.e. NOT wanting to sit around and pose for a picture, ESPECIALLY with Bassman taunting the...
