Northwest Dive Club

I was surprised and a little dismayed to learn that Jean Michel Cousteau, of all people, were "pioneering" this. Sheesh... -Valerie Yeah, I thought that was pretty weird as well, kind of out of character? Or maybe I made an assumption about character that I should not have... there I go a...

I have no problem with diving WITH sharks... although there are issues with baiting, etc that I would rather avoid. Riding ON sharks? Seems more than a little nutty and not the greatest for the shark either... :axe: If you read on, the story below mentions riding ON great whites, not just swimming w...

My Rescue class is later this month. I've been reading and studying for months now, even before the formal class. In many ways I'm looking forward to this... I want to be a better diver, and hopefully a better human being in the process as well. I want to be trained to be able to help should the occ...

Three Tree is a great site for a quick dive or two after work. It is not too current intensive, so you don't have to pay alot of attention to the tides, but I have seen low tides muck viz here. Walking down the beach before going in or doing surface swims to the buoys to the north will expand this s...

He means Dog Fish video... taken at Sund Rock... on a night dive... about a month ago!

I think the video only is sometimes because the encounter happens so quickly that it's easy to get only portions of the shark as it goes by. I know the dog fish were mainly on a night dive, and VERY mobile... i.e. NOT wanting to sit around and pose for a picture, ESPECIALLY with Bassman taunting the...

Hood Canal was crawling with dog fish.

GD saw a six gill at the I-beams I beleive.

Haven't heard of any other sightings.

Perhaps posting a thread with that question? ...i.e. "where have you seen sharks?"
