Yeah, I need to subscribe too... been spending too much money on miscellaneous dive gear so my reading $$ get pushed to the bottom. ](*,) I loved the two sample issues that I snatched up at John's presentation. Don't let the "Advanced" part of the title scare you off. It certainly is that,...

Does anyone know the approximate dive profiles for the sites we will be diving?

I will be diving Nitrox and want to plan my fills / mix accordingly. :book:

Looking forward to this trip! :supz:

Yes, it keeps getting updated, though I don't have the info right in front of me.

Most local dive shops in this area have a copy, and chances are it's pretty updated since they sell pretty fast.

Great Dive! Sounder, Diver C, thanks for hanging out :partyman: Echoing what Sounder said about the dive... I think this is my first dive with a 100 yd beach walk just to get your feet wet, then another 50 to 75 yards before the water gets to your waist, THEN a 75 or 100 yard surface swim to the buo...

Hmmmmm.... kind of wanted to avoid a dive with a long surface swim this time. Is that the only way to dive Edmonds? Again, we're open to pretty much any site North of Three Tree without hitting the San Juans... Although... I suppose we could head South to Sund Rock :supz: Ahhh.... so many dive sites...

Very, very cool...

Did it mention how deep it lies, or did I miss that?

Fresh off reading Shadow Divers this is doubly interesting! The story and the lives represented "humanize" these things in such a compelling way.

As I understand it, something in the mentos causes the gas (co2?) to almost immediately come out of solution in the Diet Coke. Isn't that what happens to the nitrogen in your body / bloodstream when you ascend too fast?!? :pale: :pale: Kind of like an instant case of the bends for the Coke?!?! :pale...

One 2 liter bottle of diet coke. Drop in 2 to 4 mentos. Instant fountain shoots 8 to 15 ft. in the air.

Creatively combine many bottles and mentos, create awesome show.

Helps keep some people off the streets! :salute:

I don't think the main idea is to get them to explode... at least not with the mentos. The fountain is the point.

There are other ways of exploding liquid in bottles... bwahahahaha
