Re: I-90? Tomorrow? This weekend?
I was planning on going out to the I-90 collapse dive site either tomorrow or this weekend. Anyone want to join? If you havent seen it yet (as I havent), then I expect it'll be pretty cool. If you have seen it, youre also more than welcome to come of course. Oh and dont bog this thread down in &quo...

I'm from Westport and go often to visit and surf, the cove in Westport is hit or miss and usually overcrowded. We usually hit wash a way or north cove area, always quiet and nice right hand breaks are always peeling off down there. As far as diving, what about the docks? Probably tons of crap to fi...

Showed up at about 9:15am for a 10:20am splash. Got all geared up headed to the water on-time. Dusty2 provided a nice dive briefing and told me where to find all the cool critters. I had my 13+ macro wet lens on. Which proved to be a bit of a mistake. Some of the nudibranchs were huge and I spent a ...

Hey there, Those lumpie shots are awesome! I love the lighting effect Thanks Dusty! It helped that the Lumpie was the size of a golf ball and was completely still. I used my new +5 and +8 FIT lenses I recently purchased from Mr. Connick. That picture is right out of the camera with a minor crop to ...

Found these two critters around the boat ramp in about 20' of water. The orange "worm" was creeping around in an indentation in the sand. The "scaleworm" was on a kelp leave and I originally thought it was the arm of a star fish. Can anyone help with a positive ID? Thanks!

Re: Redondo 01/26/2012
Great shots and great meeting you guys tonight, had a couple good dives with Mr. Penders. I even managed to grab a few shots while trying out a back inflate BC :-) Hopefully Penders posts a few of his favorites. :smt064 BTW - Does anyone know what the orange looking worm thing is? I have never seen ...

Re: Dive Report from the Big Island
Curt, I have a good feeling the mantas will show up for you :-) You will love the Blackwater dive. You will have to post a write-up when you go. Also, keep in mind they only run the backwater dive a couple time per week. Kona Honu runs it on Fridays and Weds Jacks Diving Locker runs it on Thursday B...

Dive Report from the Big Island
I know this is the Northwest dive club, not the Hawaii dive club. But after spending the past several days in my cold dark house, huddled around a space heater, I thought it would be appropriate to share a tropical dive report. I recently spent several days in Hawaii, along the Kona coast. I did not...

Dove with Saul and Mike on Sunday afternoon. Viz was okay, 15' +/-. We saw a lot of fun critters out there but tried something new this time. We walked (in the water) to the two upright piers past the house with the elk horns, surface swam to the buoy, and dropped in at about 40'+/-. We landed right...

That looks like a blast! But I agree, there is no way you could pull that off in the PNW. I bet you are from La Jolla where you can easily dive and surf in the same day :) As far as surfing, I go about 2 times per month in the summer and shoot for 1 time per month in the winter. The summer is nice b...

I mounted mine to my camera housing and really like the results. Also used it for surfing and my kids used it for air soft and long boarding. It is a great camera for the price. Here is a video I shot with it in Fiji last month.

I have one of dusty's lights and love it. Price is right and it is well built. Dusty also provides great service and he stands behind his work.

Here are my shots from the Redondo dive with Penders. I even threw in a couple snailfish shots. As Mike said we saw 5-6 of them. And Dusty2, yes a few more wolfie shots (she is too cute to pass up) :-)!
