Re: Galapagos!

You must have been there about the same time I was. I was down from October 6-13 on the Aggressor boat. Ours was organized by the dive shop I got certified with in San Diego. I think we signed up way back in 2012. We only saw whale sharks on 1 dive, however. One was a small juvenile around 20ft, and...

Re: Viz Reports Thread

Yesterday at Keystone was about 15ish ft for the first dive, and 10ish on the second. Not great. Ripping current was fun though.

Cheap Fins and PADI class books

Good for someone who is getting into diving. Size L-XL fins. I wear a size 9 shoe and these fit me just fine with wetsuit boots on. Should fit a few sizes up or down from there with wetsuit boots on. I switched up to Jetfins so I don't need these anymore. $20 https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8729/28681...

Absolutely fantastic viz at Three Tree this morning. I was at the bottom in 55fsw and could see the waves on the surface.

Re: Bubbles & Suds (5/25)

Someone willing to take on a new buddy who hasn't been to the site before? Just starting to dive in the sound but have about 30 dives under my belt and am AOW certified.

Re: Help with new camera rig purchase - Olympus micro 4/3rds

Ended up going to optical ocean sales and picking up the PM1 package. The cost difference was too big to justify.

The salesmen (Martin I think his name was) was giving me good advise about the two cameras as well as the other associated accessories.

Help with new camera rig purchase - Olympus micro 4/3rds cam

So, after using a GoPro for my last trip to Grand Cayman and being used to a Canon 7D above water, I decided that I wanted something better. I've been racking my brain trying to decide between either the popular Olympus E-PM1 bundle that everyone has for $500: http://www.opticaloceansales.com/housin...

Re: New Computer

I'm in the same boat as well. I'm looking at the Zoop or the Hollis DG03. Anyone use both?

Re: New to Seattle Area

Thanks everyone. We would need computers, wetsuits/hoods and tanks for the dives. Still trying to find out the best dive shops in the area. Looks like there are a few very close which is good.

Re: Go pro hero 3 black

Get the LCD backpack. It helped immensely during my grand cayman trip. Also, fab up/buy a mount with handles so that you can hold it steadier.

New to Seattle Area

My wife and I moved to Seattle (Ballard) in December and are hoping to get some diving in. We both got AOW certified down in Grand Cayman in November at the Sunset House. Awesome place to go for vacation. The goal is to go on a trip to the Galapagos in 2015 with the same group that did our OW cert, ...
