Our SAR swimmer.
Our son is a SAR swimmer in San Diego, he sent me a photo of his new free fins. I thought we were done supporting him!

Re: Diving out of Jeep Wrangler
Been diving outta my Ford Escape for years, had to work out a few bugs but it's all good. My cousin dives outta his Jeep Wrangler I think, 4 door wagon. Only "mod" he's done is a stick to hold open the hatch all the way.

I used it on my boat all the time, could it hurt my regs, tanks etc. I saw it at Tacoma Scuba awhile ago. Anyone here a user?

Mother of all STA's.
This came with my BPW, it's rather intimidating, weighing in at 4.75 pounds and 1/4 in thick. It came bolted to my Halcyon but it has no markings on it, can anyone ID it? Looks like it was $60 at one time.

Halcyon BPW.
All you BPW users, I had a chance to buy a used Halcyon BPW package for a great price so I did. It comes with the pad on the backplate. Does anyone use it or is it going to live in my spare parts box?

Sounds like plenty of time to get in a lot of OC dives, and build a baseline.

Re: Trying to find the right CCR
A lot of very good info here and on the site if you do a search. I thought about CCR at one time, about the time Jeff was going from OC to CCR, with a short affair with a KISS unit first. I stay plenty warm and have no desire to exceed 90 feet however the warm breathing air and no bubbles really sou...

Re: Al vs SS Backplate?
I dive a HP130, I carry a fair amount of weight anyhow. Would the Al backplate flex or would it hold up with the wight of a 130?

Other than the obvious weight difference, is there a reason to chose a SS backplate over an aAL one?

Do you want footage from the bridge parts that are in the Narrows or the rubble disposed of by Les Davis?
