Northwest Dive Club

3 Tree yesterday afternoon on the last bit of flood was 20 ft or so and pretty clear. I came up at the end of the dive to a double rainbow also!

I’ll be in Burien tomorrow afternoon for work, and I’m hoping to head down to 3 Tree when I’m done around 3 or 4 to empty a tank and look for weird small things to take pictures of. If anybody is looking to get a dive in let me know.

Well shit. They are slowly releasing names of the victims, and a friend from my first trip to Hornby Island Diving was on the boat. She also joined Anacortes Diving on a couple trips. RIP Marybeth, sorry that I never made it down to dive with you :(

I saw the same thing near the T-Dock in Mulkiteo last weekend. It was disheartening with all the positive signs as of late

Planning is never for naught if you learn something from it that you can apply in the future! Have fun in Monterrey. You should still plan a trip up north sooner or later. We are coming up on the best months of the year for being underwater!

Nice! My wife doesn't currently believe me that the water temperature fluctuates more than 1 or 2 degrees. I'll have to show here this (in a nice way of course!). Are these average or lowest temperatures per dive? I'm not sure how the shearwater records temps, but my oceanic computer saves the colde...

Diving between the T Dock and old fuel pier location in Mulkiteo today we saw lots of wasting mottled stars. I didn't even try to count but I’d put the number well over 50. I haven’t seen this anywhere else recently so hopefully it’s just an isolated location?

I was out on the Sea Dragon yesterday, and even with the larger tide exchange the vis was great at depth. Once you got below 20 ft it opened up to 30+ vis at times. You guys won't have any problems. Keystone on Friday 7/26 after work was a little dirty but still 15 to 20 ft at depth. The shallows and pilings were very nice with the sun streaming down and schools of fish swimming around. Probably the nicest conditions I've seen out there all year!
