Re: dive computer recomendations

I had a Mares Icon HD and the display was great. I do a fair amount of warm water diving and it was way too big for warm water. It would spin on my wrist. In cold water it was great though and I really enjoyed the air integration too. I sold it to supplement a recent dive trip. I probably would not...

Re: Dry Suit Hose Length

I am 6'1" and Broad in the beam (250#) I dive singles and I like to route the hose under my army loosely and then tuck it under my Strap and not feel it pull. I use a LP miflex at 35 " . The length is all going to depend on you and how you like it to fit. For me a little loose is better th...

Re: and a good day was had by all..

You know if you lived in Alaska you wouldn't have to worry about either set of initials. All we have to do is tell the LEO that we have x and where it is when they walk up. In fact granted it was a first for me however Saturday afternoon I was sitting at McDonalds when two guys walk up carrying rifl...

Re: Aluminum vs steel tanks

The one piece of gear that I regret buying the most was my HP AL 100 tank. I bought it because that was the big boy that the shop had to rent and it was what I was used to. That tank now sits in the back of the tank farm and waits until my kids come to dive and every tank is pressed into service. If...

Re: Dive shop recommendation please

Given the price of replacement zip seal parts and the cost for the tools to do you own seals and how easy it really is. I would stay with regular latex and get your group over there to invest the $100 or less for the parts/tools. Having been a DUI dealer, I never saw the value in zip seals even at ...
