Re: New to WA - Looking for Dive Buddies

Hi. What type of diving are you wanting to do? I find that tech divers, photographers, reef people, bottle hunters, etc often have vastly different goals so it can be good to find yourself similar buddies.

Re: Edmonds Underwater Park 20 MAY 23

Hi Not only a long walk but also a muddy one on a fragile eel grass bed. Advise not to do it mid day. Viz reports at Edmonds have also been quite bad lately. You may want to wait a while as you won't be able to go deeper to avoid a surface layer at Edmonds. Tides are terrible this weekend! I heard s...

Re: theperfectdive.com

Hi

I tracked down chevayea a while back and he mentioned he hasn't dove in a while. I think the site fell in disrepair and finally went down. You can still find it in in a somewhat usable form on the way back machine.

Re: Anybody been to the jellyfish ponds on Whidbey lately?

Hi Glenn

Go to pnwdiving.com and look up 'Driftwood Pond 1'

You can see that by 5/7 last year that it was a pretty cool dive, if we can depend on an annual cycle. Maybe it will be a bit later this year.

Thursday Night 3/8

Hi! Who's up for diving this Thursday? 6-6:30 meet at the Dond.

Two weeks ago we found several lumpies in the bottle field. Past years suggest they may be nesting. Baby Lumpies have already hatched at Keystone but I suspect they're ahead of Redondo!

Re: Thursday night diving 3/2

Hi everyone. We may have to relocate the dive tomorrow. It looks like there's quite a bit of wind in the forecast.. even three tree looks questionable. Let's all dive cove1. Lots of stubby squid! Or you can do c2 if you prefer.

Hope that works for you Will!

Thursday night diving 3/2

Hi Friends. The tide will be pretty low this week (1 foot tide) but the action was so good last week that we'll go back to Redondo. 6-630 meet at the Dond! Update: moved to cove 1 Last week's report: We had about 10 divers who showed up to brave the cold. So much stuff to see! Saw a lumpy within the...

Re: Seeking Advice on first BCD Purchase and Insights on Sidemount Diving in PNW

I suspect it might be based on what the tech instructions use in the area. As a case in point, if you go just a couple hours north to Vancouver bc, you'll find lots of side mount. From what I understand, it is one instructor who made it very popular there.

Thursday night diving 2/16

Hi everybody. The tides will be super low at our usual dive time this Thursday. And there'll likely be some Redondo River current. So how about we all hit cove 2 this week 6-630 meet?

Thursday Night Diving -- 2/2

Who's up for diving this Thursday? 6-630 meet. It'll be a 0 foot tide at the end of a large ebb, so there could be some Redondo River current. If anyone's not comfortable with that we can consider a location other than Redondo. Check here for updates.

Re: Hello!

Most of our shops are pretty good, otherwise they wouldn't be in business. I'd say walk into a couple dive shops most conveniently located to you and get a vibe to see which best matches your goals and budget for diving. Choosing a close shop means you'll dive more due to increased convenience. Dry ...

Monterey is pretty cool. But don't forget we have great diving here (don't judge wash by cove 2) and in Canada too! Enjoy the adventure, see you at the beach soon I hope.
