used to put 1500 lbs in my 92 jetta. after a while the springs weren't as springy. could only get away with about 1000. 250k miles, and would still be going strong if i had wanted to replace the tranny. sold it to a guy that had one laying around. should be good for another 100k for him. gotta love ...
