Re: Anonymous Mistake, "oops", or "OMG" section
The ability to learn from other people's mistakes, and not have to make the same ones yourself... +1 When I read others' accounts of mistakes, I am always asking myself What would I have done? As far as relating my own errors, part of my urge to do so is because I know how much I enjoy reading othe...

Re: Whats your worst diving mistake, and can you admit it? -
Do divers have such big ego's and cant admit their mistakes? I usually know when I have screwed up badly and I'm not afraid to admit it. The concern about posting here (and others have mentioned this too) is that we may be judged by others, even if that is not the intent of the thread, and once any...

Re: Whats your worst diving mistake, and can you admit it?
24 years of diving, I have tons of them. Ha. Moi, 27 years. Got you beat, and maybe I have made more mistakes! (Uh, I'm competing to prove I've made more mistakes than someone else?) I know most of you haven't met me (yet), but at least Dusty can see me grinning and wincing... Sometimes it's the si...

I was there for one of those... Three foot waves, whitecaps, blowing offshore. The weather wouldn't have stopped me, it was the wind direction: if we had an emergency and had to surface away from shore... WHOOSH! Next stop, Seattle. Or the ferry prop.

Yeah, IMAX in Antarctica. Wow, thanks for posting that -- I hadn't seen it in a long time. It's a bit dated now. The dome, dogs, and hovercraft are gone, as is the 'IMAX crevasse'. A friend, Brooks, volunteered to fall into the crevasse for the film. :notworthy: enter the crevasse2.jpg "I soile...

Fort Flagler, where the old pier used to be. Head straight out into Admiralty Inlet (at slack, thank you). At about 50ft it's a quill fest. Where ever you find them, look for the nudis that eat 'em.

I love my HP 130.
It's big and cuddly, and I usually get cold and end the dive long before I approach the reserve pressure.
...which gives me a warm fuzzy feeling (not narcosis).
