I have a hard time remembering which one is a decorated warbonnet and which one is a mosshead warbonnet.
I like fame and fuzzies. I can send you a higher res version if you want....

Value per diver of the Oriskany... http://yosemite.epa.gov/EE/epa/eed.nsf/WPNumber/2007-09?OpenDocument is pretty danged high. I wonder how much it cost to clean her and when the 'investment' will break even. $23 million total to sink the Oriskany. Of course there were bumps in the road that can ho...

What kitchen tools did he bring you? (I used to work at Sur La Table, and they were called tools, not gadgets, to justify the price.) Haha, yeah, tools. Ahem. :) I got a new set of ramekins, a set of stainless steel steak knives, a digital probe thermometer, and a big green serving platter. Ooh, an...

Santa brought me kitchen stuff to support my other hobby – cooking! But, I bought myself an early Christmas present in November when I got a bp/w and a lovely purple harness. Then my computer died so I had to buy myself an early birthday present, of course. I like it better when Santa brings my scub...

Merry Christmas indeed! I have met so many great people through this board. I'm usually a quality over quantity person when it comes to friends, but what do you do when you meet so many quality people? What a conundrum! I am flying back from Georgia today after visiting with my family, so no diving ...

These are swallowed whole, and as limpet shells stack together nicely, they pile up in the GI tract until they are finally pooped out. As you can imagine, passing a stack of limpet shells is probably a bit hard on the rear end, so they coat the whole mess with a very thick layer of mucus. So this i...

The purple eggs look like greenling eggs to me - and the location sounds right too. Usually there's a very colorful mama around and a watchful proud papa, though they're not NEARLY as aggressive as lingcod daddys are when watching over their eggs. Haha, yeah, I've been spanked pretty hard by a ling...

Three Tree North is gonna have babies!
I was so excited about the grunt sculpin that I didn't even notice the eggs until looking at the pic after the dive. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g302/penelopestjohn/gruntywitheggs.jpg I also saw a mass of lavender gray eggs last night....I've seen them at Cove 2 near the I-beams as well. Anybo...

Norrander's reef is a great dive. A small reef, but every inch was covered in life. There are two other dives there that are usually done as boat dives, because they are a bit of a surface swim, but you can do Metridium Wall without too much work. At low tide you would actually walk halfway there. W...

My petite, innocent-looking sister ALWAYS gets the bomb swab. Once she had a small Beaker doll in her bag, and when they opened it up to swab it that was the first thing the guy saw. He burst out laughing and couldn't stop giggling while he was doing the test. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g302/...
