Tom, vis at mukilteo was probably in the 20' range last night if you don't mind driving a bit to get to the vis. Of course with the I-5 Mess starting tonight, it's gonna be hard for folks to move from one end of the sound to the other.

Also, with as much crap I will get from NWBrewer, be carefull buying used, or at least stick witha lam. I have no idea what you're talking about. I would never make fun of your wetsuit..... :la: When I find another company, and a few grand, that will make a big ugly yellow suit, I'll probably repla...

I think the first time Kevin and I dropped on it, it had been there for a week or so. Nothing much living on it, and Kevin was disappointed that it was anchored to the bottom instead of a "free floating" kind of thing. The intrevening months have added quite a bit of life to it. While I st...

Lawgoddess' first equation will tell you how the temperature effects your tank volume. Bob's equation will tell you how much volume you have in the tank assuming that both fills are at the standard tank temperature (it's around room temp I believe, somewhere around 70 deg F?? One of the more knowled...

I dove the Saskatewan wreck in BC a few years back and a fellow diver was diving with HP 120s (singles, not doubles) and would suck them dry before I reached 1/2 with my 80s! Most definately we all breathe differently, and will use differnet amounts of gas on a given dive. The problem with diving m...

Perhaps a "New divers" section of the forum where newly minted divers can post a request for a "big buddy" to dive with them, and a list of volunteers for different area's of the sound to match folks up?

Calvin?

TC, I think the "Dive Concierge program" was a refernce to a joke about getting people to help with your gear at dive sites. It's good to see people wanting to volunteer though. Perhaps we should set up more of a formal "Big Buddy" type program through the board where folks wanti...

No, I'm certified, I have my AOW card also. Some folks dive EANX EVERY dive, I just evaluate my dive plan and decide if it's called for. For instance unless I go to doubles, or am doing 4 dives in a day, EANX at Edmonds Underwater Park doesn't make a lot of sense, but doing dives like the Mukilteo c...

If the yard work is a "honey-do", then you need to do that or it will jeopardize any future diving adventures, among other things. Like your dinner burnt, do you? Not entirely, mostly stuff I just know has to get done. (But don't want to do.) I have managed to keep the lawn mowed and the ...

Welcome Seth. I just went through some of the pictures on your Website. Truely Awsome. =D>

If anybody hasn't yet checked them our take a look at Seth's pics.

Let me know if you'd like to dive Mukilteo sometime, I usually dive after work around 3 or 4. See you around.

Dive tonight at Mukitleo 8/7/07

Anybody interested in a dive tongiht at Mukilteo? Tides and current look pretty manageble if anybody wants to try the wall, but the Silver cloud would be fine with me too. And if somebody's feeling really adventerous I'm willing to swim to the Oil Dock. Say around 4:00? TCWestby? Sheahan? Anybody? :...

I find this comment particularly disturbing -
“We have people missing from all over Puget Sound,” he said. “There’s more than one person it could be.”
Do we really have that many divers missing around the Sound?????

I have no idea if one is technically required by law at either place in Mukilteo. I've seen people use them over by the Silver cloud. They are both city parks, and I've had chats with officers at both parks, nobody has ever asked my about a dive flag. There is some debate about the usefulness of div...

I wish I could dive again tonight, but other plans interfere. :angryfire:

I hope I can hit the Mukilteo clay wall before the vis goes south again. It'd be nice to get a feel for the scope of that area once, instead of the 5' snapshots of wall that we usually get.

Thanks Kevin for the input. To clarify, the kiln I was going to use is an outdoor kiln, propane fired, made of an old 55 gallon drum and Kaowool fiber blanket. It DOES NOT get fired in the house, or really anywhere near it. The chemicals in a lot of the Raku glazes are probably worse for you than th...

Amazing vis at EUP

Kwbyron and I along with another buddy did a dive yesterday evening at EUP. Visibility was probably the best I have seen it in Puget Sound. 30-35' at least out near the park boundry and the Truimph. \:D/ Seems to be that vis is always better there when the tide is all the way in, and the surface swi...

I don't have one yet, I've just been using cones for now, but I'm getting one this fall, so this project will have to wait a bit, but I think it's definately a good one.
