Re: EUP Nudi Fest
Really love the closeup details and the groupings. Beautiful! If I didn't show nudis together you would have thot I filmed the same nudibranch the whole movie.. but every shot was a different nudibranch... I use that technique too. I often string together 4 different stubbies to make it look like I...

Way to go reaching 100 in a fabulous place. I didn't realize that was a stingray in the video till it took off.
Hope your puget sound re-entry is gentle!

Re: Winter 2016 compilation dive video
I was afraid that this was just going to a joke video with just three minutes of no-viz green water set to music. No - you're thinking of the late spring/early summer compilation video... Perhaps not surprisingly, there will not be a spring/summer compilation video! Maybe one for those 2 or 3 days ...

I always thought the moonsnail eggs look like pottery from an ancient shipwreck. Filled with gold! Their human like skin is also weird. I like the close nudi shot that's horizontal right next to it. Cool angle!

Really impressed with all the photos. And, also your vision underwater tracking such small things.
I checked my video clips and basically got nothin'! But, jumping off the bridge into the lake made up for it. :-)

Re: Salt Creek, Seiku Jetty, and Lake Crescent 5-13-2016
It was a fun trip. I'm still wiped out from it. Really nice photos and also nice to get in a new dive site at the jetty. Unfortunately those jellies hang out on eel grass in the surge making them impossible to capture on video. I haven't looked at what I captured, so perhaps there's a miracle clip i...

I failed to anticipate Bertha's efficiency and the viaduct opening ahead of schedule, so I made other plans for Thursday night. I'm in next week as long as viz is favorable.

Re: Winter 2016 compilation dive video
Thanks all. I'm particularly fond of the swimming lumpy shot. Keeping the camera in close and in focus while holding it steady and swimming was tough to pull off. Thankfully it swam straight! Had it had moved slightly closer or further away it would have gone out of focus--which it did eventually.

Winter 2016 compilation dive video
A while ago I decided to stop making videos for every dive trip. Instead I'd collect footage over time and then compile the better scenes into a video. This resulted in not making any videos because no scene ever made the cut! I've finally gotten around to putting together clips from puget sound div...

Really love the schooling fish scenes. That's a treat for around here since most of our fish are lazy! Also like the nudi and acorn barnacle scene as well as the upward looking piling shot with the bright sky and white anemones.

The mantis shrimp is amazingly awesome. We should really start a gofundme campaign to bring them to the puget sound!

Re: SJI 4/30-5/1
Oh, I forgot to mention, the last time I used the drone was for a night shot and I forgot to adjust the settings while trying to get it into the air quickly. So, lotsa noise in the video with the ISO at 1600! I'll try out a noise filter on it to see if it's salvageable.
