Lake Washington Leeches

Post by Chris Borgen »

Have only seen a few in the lake but this guy was pretty big! How it ended up on the front of my scooter is another mystery.

Hehe, I keep thinking about that scene in Stand by Me. I didn't even know Lake Washington had leeches.

I wonder what he thought he was going to get out of your scooter? Or maybe he was just going for a thrill ride?

I KNEW there was a reason why I don't dive in the Lake.

I never knew we had leeches here till I moved into my house in Marysville 10 years ago and my kids while playing in the creek came out with 1 on them.

I'm sory but leeches are fricken nasty! Unless I have a blood desease I could do with out them. If i'm swimming and find them on me that hole is done.
