solo point
Has anyone ever dove solo point if so is there any thing out there wall legdes bottles.
Re: solo point
There is an old Fish & Wildlife "Fish Haven" due west from the ramp at Solo Point. It consists of the usual rock, concrete and rubble they used to drop as fish habitat. It's a decent dive, but you do have to watch out for boat traffic from the ramp.bucknaked wrote:Has anyone ever dove solo point .
There are also a couple of wrecks located out in deep water, but they are much too far away to do from shore (~ 1/2 mile).
Good Luck,

I don't see why you couldn't. I'd enter the water from the very south end of the "beach" at Solo point and swim NorthWest.
I don't remember the depth, but it is probably 35' or so?
Re: solo point
Thanks for the info
Re: solo point
dove solo point a couple years ago, straight out from the middle of the parking lot. A lot of muck and and ran into some tire reefs...

Re: solo point
Buck I have dove here a few times. mostly a flat sandy bottom with some patches of eel grass. if you look to the south of the parking area there are a couple of concrete benches and a lone standing oak tree. if you swim straight out from the tree you will find a few small tire reefs. I also did a night dive there one time there was way more life at night.
