Got wet today

On Oahu testing to see where I am 17 months after definitive surgery. Anyone interested can look over prior posts for the details. But, According to the docs this was major trauma and surgery.

No problem riding a bike 20 or 30 miles at a time without stopping. But I have significant weakness in my feet and ankles. So walking I have to rest them every quarter mile, or so. So, is there any hope of handling a beach or a boat, or even swimming?

Holding my wife's hand to get through the surge line I can get in. I can swim. But the ankles are so weak it is hard to handle irregularities.

So, assuming I can find a way to strengthen the ankle and foot muscles I will dive again!

Rehab is as much mental as physical. Y'all really help with that.

I have discovered that if a person opens up and allows it there is a lot of support. Also, it is surprising who is watching and getting encouragement from rehab efforts. I have relearned we all are in this together.

True words Curt. When the marriage ceremony made us one we took that seriously. Now breaking up the partnership would be like amputation.
