Is their Facebook page actually active? I posted a question a couple months ago with no reply. I was going to try and make one of the meetings, but I am at work.

Trying to see if there is anywhere in Yakima worth diving.

The YDC's Facebook page is active.
Please join us at our next meeting which will be on March 8th with a start time of 6:30 P.M..
The March meeting site will be posted to our web site, Facebook page, newsletters and emailed to club members as soon as determined.
The club is exploring different places each month.

Your post to the club's Facebook page was seen by myself at least, but I did not have any suggestions as there are not any worthwhile dive sites in the area. Everything is muddy and silted easily. The only two times the club dives locally is for pond clean up, in May, usually viz is about 12 inches and the underwater pumpkin carving contest in October with viz about the same 12 inches.

Will try to come to one. Problem is I normally work from 0800 on Tuesday until 0800 on Thursday. I will keep an eye on the page.

I post to it sometimes, I posted an article from Reddit there the other day (an old US Diver's advertisement) I wish there was a local regular dive but none sofar I'm afraid. I know there's a group that dives Amon Park in the Tri Cities but they haven't started yet. Check out Atomic Ducks if you are interested.

Thanks. I just spend half my life in Yakima so I thought it would be worth trying to find other divers there.

I spent half my life getting back over the pass from Yakima last summer. Maybe it just seemed that way.

I really wish there was an area were we could dive semi regularly just to get wet time and practice buoyancy and safety drills. The Dive Club is doing some dives in Hoodsport this weekend but I really want dive time.
