Diving near Port Angeles

Post by bradmond »

I'm going to PA next weekend for a crab festival. I'd like to get a couple dives in while I'm there. I see Ediz Hook on The Perfect Dive being listed as easy shore entry and near PA. Anyone dove there and is it a good a dive? Any other suggestions?

Brad, Salt creek is really good. entry is a little tricky, and watch the surge and currents. Also Lake Crescent.

Ediz Hook is easy and not very current sensitive. It's good for a dive or two, especially if things are dicey at Salt Creek.

I always like a dive in Lake Crescent to clean the gear off, too.

Take full tanks, as the sorta-dive-shop in town may not be open.
