Buoy at Flagpole?

Post by Vjw »

A Dive buddy Thursday night told me the market buoy at Flagpole dive site in Hood Canal had been removed.

Then I was talking with another dive buddy today who has a boat and said if that’s the case, he would contact Washington scuba alliance because Flagpole should have a marker buoy. It’s not private lands and anchoring there can harm the reef (specifically the cloud sponges there).

Anyone know??

Thanks for the intel.

There was a buoy there a few months. It a WSA buoy

- I got a good squirt in my mouth
- I would imagine that there would be a large amount of involuntary gagging
- I don't know about you but I'm not into swallowing it
