Scooter Dives

Post by YellowEye »

Hi
I just got my scooter back in action. Does any one know of any sites that fall into the category of barely or not really surface swimmable, but viable via a scooter?

I've heard Northwest Island, Alki Reef, Flag Pole and Bachelor Rock fall into this category. Anything else of note? (Salt water only please)

Thank you!

Northwest Island and also Sares Head from the same beach. Across the channel from Skyline to the SE corner of Burrows Island. The Diamond Knot from Salt Water...... Stop with the scooter talk, my bank account is telling me no but my body, my body is telling me yes!

flag pole is great, as is the possession point fingers from the boat launch. There are some spots in lake WA, but obviously not salt water...

Very cool. Thanks for the replies!

Jeff -- Where would one enter to do pulali?

Ross -- Do you know of anyone actually doing sares head on a scooter? Seems far. I'll try nw island first I think.

Has anyone tried broken point in the sji's?

I’ve definitely talked to someone who goes out around the corner to the start of the Sares Head Wall. No idea if you can get farther down to the shallow crimson candyland field though. Only one way to find out!

Jackson Cove, we entered at Boy Scout Camp Camp Parsons. About a mile each way to the point. Its a great dive. One of my favorites. Burn off deco on the way back.

Also Watermans Wall, but you need an "inside track" to use the park there.

Also DIW way south wall is scooter only
