Will they remove the T dock?

Post by Mateo1147 »

I read this article in the Everett Herald today. Hope we won't loose the T dock as well. It has actually been the capitol "I" dock since the first time I dove there in 2010.

That's unfortunate. On wonders how long before divers lose access there in favor of more "progress". I helped out with sea star collection for some of the NOAA researchers there once, and got a tour of the facility. That was a long time ago and the building was in pretty rough shape back then. The NOAA pier is some of the last large habitat left there now that the refueling pier is gone.

While the site is commonly referred to as the "T-dock" the actual T-dock sat where the silver cloud is now and was long gone before I started diving in the early 2000's.
