On Saturday, May 8, my buddies and I encountered an 8ft female Sixgill Shark in 71fsw at Hoodsport, WA. There have been sightings of sixgills in the area between Sund Rock and the south end of the town of Hoodsport over the past 10years, but not frequent. I've been diving in the PNW for 14 years and had this creature on my bucket list the entire time. She was beautiful as she gracefully coasted into the visibility. We were using dive lights which may have attracted her to check us out. She cruised around us, reversing direction and circling back. The total encounter lasted about 2 min. One diver was wearing a GoPro mounted on his mask. Here's a frame from the video (posted on my fb account) - as H2ODoctor says "No pictures = It didn't happen."

I hope that it won't be 14 years before I see another.
