Creature ID

I saw this at Les Davis Wednesday night. The pictures aren't great, but I was taking them more for the "WTF" factor than anything else. What is this??

i believe they call that "crus cena" in latin, or as we say in english, leg dinner haha

It sure looks like the leg of a sunflower star.

It's a leg from a sun star. I see them frequently but have no idea who the culprit is.

Yeah, I see them frequently too... But what on earth easts sunflower stars (besides other starfish?)

Sorry to dig up an old post, but I found this interesting. In the tank at camp this fall, two of the sun stars got into a fight over an oyster or something. I didn't witness the fight, but apparently the outcome was similar to this....

If I had to guess, it thought it was going to dine on a nest of lingcod eggs and daddy lingcod didn't take kindly to that.
