Polygamist!!!!!

Post by dwashbur »

I found this guy at Redondo this past Sunday night. I count either 6 or 7 distinct clutches of eggs he's guarding. He didn't move the whole time we were around him, which is amazing for a white-spotted greenling, but I was very happy for it. Then again, if I was trying to keep track of this many kids from that many "spouses," I might be too tired to move, too!

I hope he's at least getting foster parent pay.............. :tomnic:

WOW!! First off, a Whitespotted Greenling that holds still is amazing enough as it is...but man, look at all those eggs! And all the colors. Remember when Jan was tracking all the eggs last year (I think it was last year, maybe the year before) of the Whitespotted up on Whidbey?

Very very cool find!
