number 30 isn't a ling. You have the correct phylum, though.
Wow! What a GREAT hint! It has a spinal cord! THAT certainly narrows it down! #-o

Not just yet! I'm presently languishing at work and don't have access to my pile of ID books. I have a feeling I'm going to need to peer at more than a few photos of eyes before I toss out my 2 cents worth! HA!

Sorry Mrs. Bubble Maker! #-o This one doesn't count though - it wasn't covered in Janna's class! :book:

Nope. You have the right class, though. (Edit: Correct class: Osteichthyes) My fault...

Hehehe...this is fun!

Of course, I haven't done all that well. Although when I started looking through these, I got the scalyhead sculpin correct before I got to the answers!

HUH? Now I'm REALLY confused! #-o

Chondrichthyes is the class covering jawed cartilaginous fishes such as the sharks, skates and rays. The Snake Prickleback is in class Actinopterygii (ray-finned fishes).

So.....which is it? Inquirying minds want to know! HA!

Methinks you are trying to throw me off the scent! :bootyshake:

Sounder, now don't be like that. I never said you couldn't play; I said you were so good you needed a handicap. I should make you squint or waggle your head back and forth when looking at the fish eyes. But, I'm getting more in the groove, so Bring It! :)

(Bubbles? That's my exotic dancer name. I've never tried it underwater, but, eh? I'll try anything once.)

Nope!

So, when I tried to give a smart-aleck remark to John about him getting the class correct, I put the wrong class there...so I'm not going to go there and say that you have the right order...

But it's not a sturgeon poacher.
