I recently did a long drift dive near Pt. Defiance and was very excited to see countless sea stars thriving between PT Defiance and Owens beach area. Over the last 5 years the numbers have gone from nearly zero to now seeing hundreds and hundreds. I’m hoping we get back to the days when these wonderful animals ruled the shalllows and the shorelines again. To help them out and protect them, I always wear my mask when I visit them at 60’. Hopefully, Scott ( The Tacoma Bottle King)

Cool! Which species?
I wonder if they were congregating to mate.
