Striped Nudi Eggs

Post by Magoi »

Did a dive at the Junkyard a week ago and saw a bunch of Striped Nudis around. Got a shot of one that I believe was in the process of laying eggs.

Great capture! Almost looks like the nudi is caring for the eggs after laying them, judging by the way it’s facing.

Any critter geeks here have some insight into this behavior?

It's actually eating an orange sea pen. They chew the stalk until it falls, then consume the entire animal.
