Seastar ID Help

Post by Magoi »

I took this photo of a seastar near Orcas Island this summer and am having trouble identifying it. Anyone know what it is?

Thanks

Why yes! It's an Armpit Blood Star, Henricia sp. How do I know this? From Greg Jensen's new invertebrate book, "Beneath Pacific Tides". YAY for new books!

Thanks Janna!

I have his crab books and his free sculpin book. I will order this one now.
