In for a penny......telephoto lens available for $99.
Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4-5.6"R" Zoom Lens - Black - for Micro Four Thirds System
http://www.adorama.com/IOM40150RMB.html

Seems to get generally good reviews, especially for the price. I decided to go for it, not for diving, for general photography use.

That looks like a great deal - I also would be thinking above water.

More good reviews on Amazon...

I wonder if any of our long time Four Thirds users have any experience with this lens?

I had that lens and it works just fine. Especially at 99.00 with free shipping.

The second E-PL1 body I got was a combo with the telephoto. Last week Lynne and I did a couple of photo walks using two different cameras -- E-PL1 with the 40-150 lens and the Canon Tsi with a similar lens. You judge the difference:

E-PL1 (on a cloudy day):

Canon (on a sunny day):

BTW, for my birthday, Lynne got me the VF-3 electronic viewfinder for the E-PL1. I just need to have the camera to my eye for land shots.

Deal appears to be back at Adorama -- and the housing by itself is at $299 (might be cheaper than having it serviced!).

If it was... it's no longer available.

The note I got says that the housing is on back order "and will be in our warehouse in a few days." At least the link is still live and it let me start to order.
