Halkett Pt Cloud Sponge Reef Video Short

Hi All,
My latest video short showcasing the Halkett Point Deep Reef is now online at youtube and linked below.
This dive site is located in Howe Sound, just north of Vancouver, and is a beautiful reef with lots of Cloud Sponges. The video here was mostly taken over the past few months.

Yea, I was unaware of the biology of these structures until I recently started diving on these sites in Howe Sound and talking with Glen Dennison. He's a canadian that has discovered and mapped 4 such diveable "bioherm" structures in the Howe Sound area and has a written a book about the reefs. We've all seen cloud sponges here n there, or walls of them like up at Aggie wall or such places.. but these bioherm mounds are just building up and up on themselves. They say they are growing over time. Its kinda bizzare. Needless to say, the bottom has a thick, mucky, almost greasy feel to it.. very silty in areas. Thats why some of my video shots has some silt in them.
