Wide Angle in the Hood

Post by RVbldr »

So my wife got me a new wide angle for my Sony RX100 and I figured I'd give it a try out at Octopus Hole on Friday. I'm suffering through only one YS-D1 strobe, so a second is on the list.. For a first time over at the Hood, it was nice to see the sunstar population still healthy.

I got a wide angle lens for Christmas, too! I'll be right behind you on the WA learning curve!

Cool shots!

Even if you don't have a second strobe you can still get some great images by having a foreground subject lit up by your single strobe, then having your background subject visible as a silhouette against ambient light. I typically find myself looking for subjects where I can shoot upwards towards the surface.
