360 screen grab from Salt Creek

Post by ljjames »

Out on the peninsula for a 6 day shoot, and on the last day went for a bit of a snorkel at Salt Creek :)

Nice! Video to follow?

I really enjoy Salt Creek, but have never tried it this time of year - afraid of making the long drive and having weather prevent us from getting in/out of the water. How were conditions?

Conditions were outstanding weather and swell wise, the river discharge made the west side tannic and low vis but the north east side was very good. The kelp is scenesing and no bait fish school, typical winter diving out there, but to me it was worth snorkeling for sure since I was already in neighborhood. Crescent was beauty as always too :)

Tacos and beer? :taco:

Or are you considering some camping? Think it's possible to get rained on any more than last time?

I just looked at this. Wonderful. One of the activities of the dive clubs in the late 50's and early 60's was the river drift. A lot of natural beauty there. My wife and I just got back from a few days at Kalaloch, hiking Hoh, Rialto Beach and such. Love it.
