Samsung Gear 360 goes underwater

Post by ljjames »

Still working on it, but some first look screen grabs from my little frankenhousing for the Samsung Gear 360. This is the little observation dock out by Salty's on Alki, shot whilst doing the 10' pressure test on the housing. The 30' pressure test did not go so well, but have gone back to a gasket seal over an o-ring that could be extruded 'in'. (it did make for some amusing video though, I fully expected a flood so had a gopro in a housing inside the housing to capture the fun)

Are you using the same Samsung 360 gear that Casey Neistat is using?

LJ, I know that flood was a controlled flood. But it still made me anxious. That is the thing we (photographers and videographers) never want to see underwater :) This is pretty cool, keep sharing. I love watching this.

Cove 2 with a bit more light... housing was too buoyant so like pushing a balloon around underwater, apologies for the bouncy video :)

I imagine it's a program thing but, why can I spin the video around 360 on your YouTube channel but not here?
