Skookumchuck Narrows video short

Post by MikeMeagher »

A few of us spend a long weekend diving at Kal and Ann's place a few weeks ago. Vis was so so, but we had an exceptionally mild weekend of currents, and attached is a 2 minute video recap.

If you have never dove in the Skook, its such a great place to visit. Enjoy

Mike: I never got a chance to dive Skookumchuck, so thank you. That was wonderful.
-Curt :rawlings:
p.s. In my cruising years, I moored my sailboat nearby and watched the kayakers surf the standing wave there in 15-20 knot currents.
Happy to be alive.

That was really REALLY nice! Thanks for sharing. I watched a bear once across the channel from observation wall try to swim between islands and get completely flushed out about 20 ft from his destination. Luckily it eddied out where it started but it sure looked like it was struggling for a bit!
