Well, I finally got my lumpsucker, but my strobes were all wrong and had trouble with my buoyancy. Thanks to Eric, I now know how to look for them.

It is amazing what some in-water eye training can do for helping you to spot things in the future. You can look at photos all day long and still look right past a critter in the water, but somehow once you see it in the water, your brain decides that it can find more in the future.

Hope that is the first of many!

I honestly still haven't gotten a Lumpie photo that I'm super thrilled with. Some decent record/ID shots, but I still am searching for that "good" one.

Yay so glad you found them!
A good lumpie shot is hard to come by!
They start being a better size/shape/color for photography (IMHO) in about a month.
