In about a week I'm headed back to Key Largo. Although I've been there several times I know things change, especially in the new economy and post-spill.
Any updates on diving, area, operators?

Ocean Divers are a great operation. I will be there the second week of December, maybe we will cross paths.

Re: Key Largo Info
Probably. I get there on the morning of the 10th and leave on the 16th. Right now I'm booked on Silent World as they owe me a trip from when we got blown out last March. I'll probably start diving on the 11th after I get rested from the l o n g trip without sleep.
I've been with Ocean Divers once when I was the only person scheduled with my dive op and they cross-decked me over there. I was Not Impressed. But, I wasn't their customer so that may have made a difference so they are not blacklisted or anything.

My experience with Ocean Divers has been pretty good. They have nice safe boats, they do a good dive brief, and they let you dive your plan. A drawback for some with Ocean Divers is they are a recreational dive op. I have not dove with Silent World but have heard they are a great operation, and they do technical trips.
Good luck with your search.

You didn't way when you are going to be there. Do we cross paths? If so we definitely need to make arrangements to meet and get wet. If you prefer Ocean Divers that is OK. I'll just book them for that day, or days, as I'm staying across the highway from them.
